  I have just left my parents home and the JW's about six months ago and have found it hard to get over.

  i finally desided to leave the witnesses therefore my family and basicly everyone and everything i had ever known.

  i was 19 about to be 20 and i had just finished my first semester at a community college.

  i was shocked at the respons of my father and others about me attending college at first they were ok but behind my back they were pretty much betting on my failier.

  Welcome Stephanie.

  Even though you were undoubtably scared, it seems you have already taken many difficult and necessary decisions. You are very brave. Do you realize that?

  You haven't seen your mother for a long time. Do you think you would like to find her? Would that do you both good?

  Its true, that our never JW parteners cannot pôssibly fully understand what its like for us. Does your partener read this forum? That might help her understand that there are thousands of people who have the same trauma as you .

  Things can and will get better. Good luck for your future.

  Celebrating my sons 11th birthday on Sunday

  ive bought him lots of pressies, we collect his cake on saturday, and are having a big family gathering.. i havent actively celebrated his birthday for the 6 years i was studying.

  its crazy!

  im a single dad of 2 kids and i gotta work like 70 hours a week just to get by.

  just to pick up a loaf of bread and a jug of milk is like 10 bucks, nevermind a whole grocery list!.

  pp, i have been reading up your previous threads.

  it's getting to the point where i'm constantly having violent fanstacies about hurting them and recently i actually considered buying a gun.

  before this job i was non-violent but they are starting to push me to a dark place.

  I agree totally AK-Jeff.

  Unfortunately, I don't think PP is likely to read your post.

  I started this thread because I wanted to succinctly show that PP has a problem: a very serious problem.

  In his thread he hoped that others would avoid JWN.

  I wish to show that PPs point of view needs to be taken in the light of his own strong feelings, and do not necessarily reflect the truth.

  I do hope that he seeks out the help that you suggest.

I've concluded that I need to be in an environment where I can get comfort from the Bible and associate with people who aren't worldly.

  I can now better understand your attacks on JWN.

  You do need help. I'm not sure that the JWs are the best choice, but in anycase I wish you well and hope you will feel better in yourself.

  Good luck on the road ahead. It will not be an easy one.

  I think its a bit like trying to describe "seeing" to a blind man. You can't. He may even say, in the end , that he thinks he understands, but he doesn't really. He just has his concept of what "seeing" might be.

  We cannot understand what spirit is. We compare it to things we know, with analogies of probes etc. but are surely light years from the reality.

  Their loving God will destroy them if they dont.

  Happily my dad wasn't like that. He might just have sent me to bed early.

  You questions/doubts are quite normal. We have all been there. But these doubts mustn't paralize us into inaction.

  what if it really is the truth? If its not what is? What if Armageddon comes and the last thought that goes through my head is damn....you blew it, you could've got to see dad again....
